Die Tomato, Die!!! addresses the relationship between audience and performer through the destruction of the tomato: a symbol in theater of failure and audience disapproval. While traditionally the tomato has been used as a weapon by the audience to drive a performer off the stage, in this context the performer uses the tomato in an act of rebellion; destructing it before anyone has a chance to stop her.
